Ecostyler Gel with Olive Oil review

Last week I tried Eco Styler Gel as an alternative to my usual Kinky Curly Knot Today.  Whilst I love my Kinky Curly, it’s $30 a jar and I go through it way too fast. I’ve been hearing a lot about Eco Styler Gel with Olive Oil so I decided to give it a try, plus it was only $3 for a jar.

I switched up my usual wash regimen this time.  After shampooing my hair I applied a deep conditioning treatment. Next, I detangled while the conditioner was still in my hair and let it sit for about 30 min.

Last, I washed out the conditioner and applied the Eco Styler Gel to my hair in sections. I grabbed a small section of my hair and generously applied the gel then I ran my fingers through it.  It gave me OK curl definition, but I didn’t like the shiny, crunchy, gel look it gave me.

I was late for church so I had to go out in public with my hair like that. When I got home I didn’t really feel like washing it out so I left it on my hair.

That night, I moisturized my hair and pulled it up into a pineapple on top of my head and slept on my silk pillow case. In the morning I took it down, sprayed my hair with Sporty Afros G+ Moisturizing Spray and fluffed it out and it looked a lot better.

Most of the shininess from the gel wore off and it left me with soft, semi defined curls. All and all, the Eco Styer Gel is a keeper! This would be a great product to use for a quick wash and go after a workout. Just use the gel sparingly!
